An important and very interesting article has been published, focused on identification taxonomic and geographical gaps in DNA barcode libraries, evaluation of DNA barcodes applicability for European aquatic biomonitoring and outlining future strategies for DNA barcode library quality assurance and control. The paper is co-authored mostly by members of the DNAqua-Net and people from AquaBOL.SK also took part (Weigand et al. 2019  https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2019.04.247).
