Conference Venue
4th CESAMIR2024 is hosted by Congress center ACADEMIA (Stará Lesná, SK-059 60, Tatranská Lomnica) which belongs to Slovak Academy of Sciences, the leading scientific institution in Slovakia.
Congress center is located in beautiful surroundings of the Slovak part of Tatra Mountains, at the border of the Tatra National Park (TANAP), the oldiest national park in Slovakia. In “ACADEMIA” buildings all oral and poster presentations, Opening/Closing ceremonies, Welcome reception, and lunches will be held, as well as accomodation for around 100 participants.
Free wifi connection is available in all Congress center buildings and free parking for up to 50 cars (or even more, if needed) is available.
Conference rooms
ACADEMIA Congress center provides three conference rooms for presentations. The biggest and fully equiped is the Congress hall with the capacity of 170 multifunctional seats (armchairs). With additional chairs it is possible to enlarge the capacity to 200-210 seats. The space in front of the hall is used for posters and presentation of companies. Smaller Business Lounge (up to 45 seats) and Banquet hall (up to 100 seats) are suitable for parallel sessions and workshops.
Restaurant
In the Congress center you can find a restaurant with a rich selection of traditional Slovak and international cuisine (including vegetarian), offering breakfast, lunch and dinner for hotel guests. In the restaurant also lunches for CESAMIR2024 participants will be served.
There is also a bar open until late, which is ideal place for informal business meetings or relax after a busy conference days.
Hotel ACADEMIA
The Congress Center also offers accommodation in the hotel part, which is used to accommodate guests during ongoing conferences and business meetings, as well as for recreational purposes – individual and group tourism. Additional services such as sauna, solarium, fitness, whirlpool, massages, as well as bicycles and other sports equipment are available during the stay. Outside there is also a gazebo with a fireplace available, tennis courts, and football/volleyball court.
